Bible verses about affairs.
The bible is very clear about affairs and cheating on your significant other.
The Bible clearly states that adultery is a sin against God. One of the Ten Commandments is “You shall not commit adultery” as seen in Exodus 20:14.
Adultery is seen as a serious offense that can lead to severe consequences. Proverbs 6:32 says, "Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; he who does so destroys his own soul".
Hebrews 13:4 emphasizes the sanctity of marriage: "Let marriage be held in honour among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous".
In the New Testament, Jesus expands on the concept of adultery, teaching that even looking at someone with lustful intent is akin to committing adultery in one’s heart as seen in Matthew 5:27-28.
While the Bible condemns adultery, it also offers a path to forgiveness and repentance. 1 John 1:9 states, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
