Bible verses about opposites.
Galatians 5:17: "For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want".
Proverbs 15:1: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” This verse contrasts gentleness with harshness.
Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Here, Jesus contrasts the paths to destruction and life.
Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” This verse contrasts good and evil.
John 3:19-20: “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.” This passage contrasts light and darkness.
James 3:17: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” This verse contrasts heavenly wisdom with earthly wisdom, which is often characterized by envy and selfish ambition.
